MP backs biodiesel tax break project

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a project to keep tax breaks for business who produce biodiesel.
Producers converting cooking oil into biodiesel presently take advantage of a 20p differential but that is because of end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been meeting the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George stated "a number of little companies in Cornwall currently generate income from utilized cooking oil".
He included: "In order to be able to get this kind of industry going it does need simply a bit of lift which can be found in the type of tax inevitable."
Biodiesel is a mix of standard diesel, rapeseed and veggie oils.
